There is little doubt that there was romance along the Western Trail. Young cowboys, hungry for a little affection...country girls who seldom even saw an eligible bachelor out in the middle of the frontier...You know it just had to happen. And when it did, the nearest town with a county seat, was an ideal place to "tie the knot"

Well, last Saturday, it happened to our fair group of buckaroos. "Cajun" Stevens married up with his sweetheart Vicki, out at Fort Mason Park with most of the trail ride looking on. I wasn't there personally, so I can't tell you if there was a "shivaree" or not, but I can tell you that the whole town of Mason turned out to celebrate. Let's wish them both "happy trails".
